“Campus NaaS is an emerging market and vendors are approaching it from different angles,” said Siân Morgan, Wireless LAN Research Director at Dell’Oro Group. “All of the Campus NaaS variants are inspired by the cloud-consumption model, but that’s where their similarities end. Each version is targeted at different segments and has different growth potential. Some offers will help vendors gain market share, while others could expand the overall size of the market.
“The enterprise WAN is transforming because the classical hardware-centric approach is ill-suited to address the needs of the post-pandemic era where users, data, and applications are highly distributed,” said Mauricio Sanchez, Research Director at Dell’Oro Group.
“Lead times improved considerably, now ranging from three to six months, a notable improvement compared to the previous two quarters, and substantial reduction from nine to twelve months experienced about a year ago,” said Sameh Boujelbene, Vice President at Dell’Oro Group.
“While data center capex for the hyperscalers will decline significantly this year, we project some of the cloud service providers such as Microsoft and Google will continue to increase spending by double digits,” said Baron Fung, Senior Research Director at Dell’Oro Group.
In 1Q23, product growth was broad-based, but thermal management and cabinet PDU and busway grew at the fastest rates as a result of easing fan and breaker supply chain constraints. IT racks and containment was the only market segment with revenue growth to meaningfully decelerate.
