Director of Research, Data Center Physical Infrastructure, Thermal Management and Liquid Cooling

Job Description:

We need a high energy, high output team player to join our market assessment group. The candidate will become responsible for producing research and driving the practice on the Data Center Physical Infrastructure market. This practice includes a dynamic and high-growth sector: thermal management and in particular, liquid cooling. The candidate would work closely with our other Data Center analysts, and our seasoned sales and marketing team. In this role, the candidate actively participates in the success of the practice, and the associated financial rewards. Qualifications for this position include:

Minimum of ten years experience at a manufacturer (e.g., AAON, CoolIT, Eaton, Huawei, Johnson Controls, Riello, Modine, Schneider Electric, Stulz, Vertiv, etc.)
MBA and undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Science

Job Description:

We need a high energy, high output team player to join our market assessment group. The candidate will become responsible for producing research on service provider routers and switches, deployed in the network core of telecommunication networks, as well as cloud data centers. At first you will work closely with one or more senior members of our staff to produce the research. Then, you will progress to producing the coverage and driving our business on the market for which you take ownership. Senior Industry Analyst—Data Center (Contractor)

Position Based in Beijing/Shanghai/Shenzhen, China

Dell’Oro Group is looking for a dynamic team player with exceptional organizational skills and a high level of energy to join our market research team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior members of our team, leveraging Dell’Oro Group’s existing data of Chinese vendors. The candidate will be responsible for interviewing data center ecosystem participants to learn why market trends are happening, and assess what this implies for the future. This role would engage extensively with cloud data center service providers, systems integrators, and IT and network managers at large enterprises that are focused on the data center.

Through these interviews, and collaboration with the US-based analysts the candidate would create comprehensive qualitative reports on the Data Center Infrastructure market in the China region. Moreover, the China Analyst will closely collaborate with our APAC Regional Sales Director and marketing team to help develop program success strategies which will lead to associated financial rewards.

Responsibilities of this position include:

Write reports, blogs, and articles for industry press in English and Chinese.
Conduct surveys in Chinese with key industry players in data center infrastructure.
